  • Location & Hours

    Pioneer Youth is located at 401 Granite Street in Hogansville, Georgia, and operates Monday to Friday, between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM. We follow the same schedule as Troup County Schools, meaning we are closed on the same days that the schools are closed - unless otherwise noted.

  • Free Programs

    One of the standout features of Pioneer Youth is that our programs are completely free for anyone who attends. This accessibility ensures that all youth in the community have the opportunity to participate without any financial barriers.

  • Educational Support

    Pioneer Youth offers free tutoring services to help students with their academic needs. This support can be valuable in helping students excel in their studies and achieve their educational goals.

  • The Dignity Store

    The Dignity Store is a free store inside The Pioneer Center where kids can get needed hygiene items in private. We want to provide needed items to students in a dignified way. Students who are in need of food, hygiene, or supplies can discreetly notify Pioneer Youth staff and have access to the high quality items we stock. Dignity is our highest priority; student’s identities will never be revealed.

  • Mentorships

    We also provide mentorship opportunities for young people. Mentorship can be a valuable way for students to gain guidance, support, and positive role models as they navigate their formative years.

  • Safe Space

    Pioneer Youth is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for the youth of Hogansville. This safe space allows young people to engage in educational and recreational activities while feeling secure and supported.

The after-school hours, often referred to as "danger hours," typically occur between 3-6pm when many children and teenagers are out of school and may not have structured activities or adult supervision. During these hours, youth may be at risk of engaging in unsupervised or potentially harmful activities.

Pioneer Youth plays a crucial role in addressing this issue. They provide a safe and structured environment for youth between the ages of 7-17 during these after-school hours. By offering programs and activities during this time frame, Pioneer Youth helps keep kids engaged in positive and productive pursuits, reducing the likelihood of them getting involved in risky behaviors or situations.

Through free tutoring and mentorship programs, Pioneer Youth not only keeps youth occupied but also empowers them with educational support and guidance. This support can improve academic performance and personal development, helping youth reach their full potential.
