MADE FOR MORE
END OF YEAR GIVING CAMPAIGN
At Pioneer Youth we believe that every person- no matter the age, life circumstance, education level or home life- has immeasurable value. Our desire is to stand in the gap for our local youth who are facing hard life circumstances. We want to shout their worth to the world and we want them to know how worthy they are of love and a beautiful, bright future. We are committed to being the caring adults in their life that some of them desperately need. Every youth in Hogansville can find family and home within the Pioneer Center.
CLASSES
We have a desire to give our youth an opportunity to experience different classes and arts that they may not be able to anywhere else. These classes will include pottery, woodworking, welding, and so much more!
TRIPS & EXPERIENCES
It is a rare occasion for our youth to leave Hogansville. As we continue to grow our relationship with our youth, we feel it's very important to do REAL life together. With these funds we will be able to bring our youth to enjoy different opportunities outside of Hogansville!
ATHLETIC PROGRAM
In 2022, we were recipients of a $75,000 grant from LISC in partnership with the Atlanta United Foundation (AUF). With this grant we were able to build a mini soccer pitch on our property. Now that we have this space, our dream is to launch our own sports program in 2023 so we can give youth an opportunity to learn and play different sports they may not have the opportunity to otherwise.
OPERATING EXPENSES
Our job is to SHOW UP, To spend our time with youth everyday. To keep our space open and running there are operating expenses that must be taken care of. These expenses include utilities, building maintenance, salaries, and supplies such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
SNACKS
Everyday we provide snacks and dinner for our youth. This means we are providing roughly 150 snacks and 40 meals EVERY WEEK and in our current economy this gets expensive very quickly.
